Brad Kime has been a Physical Therapist (PT) since 1997 after graduating from CSULB with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy. A year later he rejoined the United States Air Force (USAF) as a PT with a growing family and continued his travels around the world, getting lucky enough to live in countries such as: Italy, Turkey, Japan, Korea, and the United States. While in the USAF he continued his training working with the highly athletic military troops, and entered the Doctoral program at Andrews University, Michigan and is in the process of completing his final research study to receive his Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy (DScPT). In 2006, Brad received his certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Only 10% of physical therapists are board certified by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in a specialty, which requires demonstrated experience in the specialty field and passing an extensive examination process. He then became a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) in 2011. Most manual therapy training programs in the USA are four-year, post-graduate programs that emphasizes years of clinical experience, several scores of internship time under the tutelage of proven Master Clinician, 100’s of hours of didactics/classroom education, and passing numerous extensive written and practical examinations. Brad served his country as an active duty Airman in the USAF until 2009, and then continued on in the capacity of a civilian contractor until returning to the lure of Del Norte County’s majestic coastline and Redwoods in the fall of 2012. Brad and his beautiful wife, Heidi, purchased Pacific Northwest Physical Therapy in February of 2013 and relocated to a new, larger and more receptive, building in 2014, where they expanded their wellness services to include massage therapy and yoga.
